He attended many schools as his parents moved frequently, including Selwyn House School in Montreal, Trinity College School in Port Hope and St. In 1936, George enrolled at Mc Gill University joining the Zeta Psi fraternity while ultimately completing his Commerce degree at UBC in 1946.
